Container Buyback & Trade-In

We buy used shipping containers, and we take containers in trade against one you buy from us. If you have a container you no longer need, tell us about it and we will make you an offer.

How it works

  1. Send us the details. Email, call or use the contact form with the size, type, condition and location of the container. Photographs help us make a firm offer; the list below shows what to send.
  2. Get an offer. We reply with a no-obligation offer.
  3. Collection. If you accept, we agree a collection date with you and arrange the truck. The offer tells you whether collection is included.
  4. Payment or credit. For a trade-in, the agreed value comes off the price of the container you are buying from us. For a straight sale, we pay you the agreed amount once the container has been collected and checked.

What to send us

  • Size and type: 10ft, 20ft or 40ft, standard or high cube, and any modifications
  • Condition: any rust holes, leaks, dents or door problems
  • The CSC plate or year of manufacture, if you can see it
  • The ZIP code where the container is, and whether a truck can get within about 100 feet of it
  • Photographs of all four sides, the doors and seals, the floor and, if you can, the roof

Good to know

  • Our offer is based on your description and photographs. We confirm it when we inspect the container at collection. If its condition differs from what was described, we may revise the offer, and you can decline.
  • You must own the container, and it must be free of any loan, lien or other claim. We may ask for proof of ownership, such as a bill of sale.
  • The container must be empty, and the site must be accessible to a tilt-bed truck. The same site requirements apply as for a delivery; see Shipping & Delivery.
  • Ownership and risk pass to us when the container is collected.
