Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies convexcontainers.com sets, what each one is for, and how to turn off the ones that are optional. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. On the next page you load, the browser sends it back, which is how a site remembers things like what is in your cart. Some cookies are set by us; some are set by services we use.

Your choice

When you first visit, a cookie notice asks what you allow. Necessary only keeps the store and the live chat working and nothing else. Accept all also allows the analytics and advertising cookies listed below. Until you choose, only the necessary ones are used. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Strictly necessary

These make the store work. They cannot be switched off from here, because without them you could not add a container to the cart or check out.

Cookie Set by Purpose Expires
woocommerce_cart_hash WooCommerce Tracks that the cart has changed so totals recalculate Session
woocommerce_items_in_cart WooCommerce Tells the page whether the cart has anything in it Session
wp_woocommerce_session_* WooCommerce Links your browser to your cart and order data on our server 2 days
wordpress_logged_in_* WordPress Keeps you signed in. Only set if you have an account Session, or 14 days if you tick “remember me”
cvx_cookie_consent This site Remembers your answer to the cookie notice 12 months
hcdn Hostinger (our host) Used by our hosting provider’s content delivery network to serve pages Session

Live chat

The chat window is provided by Tawk.to. It loads for every visitor so you can always reach us, and it may store an identifier in your browser so a conversation carries on from page to page. If you use the chat, Tawk.to processes what you type. See Tawk.to’s own privacy policy for details.

Analytics (only if you accept)

These tell us which pages and containers get viewed, in aggregate, so we know what to improve.

Cookie Set by Purpose Expires
tk_ai WooCommerce Analytics (Automattic) Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits are not double-counted 1 year
tk_or, tk_lr, tk_r3d WooCommerce Analytics (Automattic) Record the site that referred you, for visit statistics 3 days to 13 months

We also use Jetpack Stats, also from Automattic, to count page views. It only runs if you accept, and it does not set cookies of its own.

Advertising and order attribution (only if you accept)

Our containers appear in Google Shopping and Google Ads. These cookies tell us whether an ad or a search led to a visit or an order.

Cookie Set by Purpose Expires
_gcl_au Google Ads Links a visit or an order to a click on one of our Google ads 90 days
IDE, test_cookie Google (doubleclick.net) Set on Google’s own domain to measure ads and, if you accept, to let us show our ads to people who have visited this site 15 minutes to 13 months
sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_udata, sbjs_migrations WooCommerce (order attribution) Record how you found us, such as a Google ad or a search, so an order is credited to the right source Session
sbjs_session WooCommerce (order attribution) Marks the current visit 30 minutes

Before you choose, Google’s tag runs in Google’s “consent mode”: it sets and reads no cookies and only tells Google that a page was viewed, without identifying you. If you accept, Google may also add your visit to an audience we can show our ads to later (remarketing).

What we do not do

  • We do not sell cookie data, or any other data, to anyone.
  • We do not use cookies to store card details. Every payment method here is manual, so no card data touches this website at all.
  • We do not set analytics or advertising cookies before you accept them.

Turning cookies off

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and choose Necessary only. That stops the optional tags and deletes the optional cookies this site set. Cookies that Google set on its own domain (doubleclick.net) can only be removed in your browser settings.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this; look under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the cart working, which is a browser limitation rather than a choice we have made.

Changes to this page

If we add or remove a cookie we will update this page and the date below. Last updated 19 October 2026.
